The duo joined forces during a seminal writing trip for Jeremy in LA during 2019, where they met via mutual friends and instantly hit it off, laying the foundations for the EP in just one productive session, including the start of new single ‘Blood’, out today. “It was a natural fit,” Jeremy commented.

Speaking more on the EP and his and Reo’s connection, Jeremy said that:

“Reo is an enigma to me. He has so many layers. The first day we met, on my first writing trip to los angeles, we planted the seeds of two songs, one of which became ‘Blood’. I was in awe of his ability to instantaneously spin both blissful and heartbreaking moments from his life into verses and hooks. A few chords were all he needed”

“When I returned from the trip, inspired by a new collaboration and dimension to the music on which I had been working, I fiddled with parts and added instruments until everything finally felt like it shouldn’t be fiddled with any longer. Three songs later, “Void” was conceived”.

The release see’s the return of Chrome Sparks to Counter Records where he released his self titled and critically acclaimed debut album in 2018. Over the years his stunning synth-serving sound has gained praise from the likes of Pitchfork, FADER, Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, Consequence of Sound and Dancing Astronaut to name a few.

He’s performed to thousands of fans alongside the likes of Tycho, Bonobo, TOkiMONSTA, Porter Robinson, Cyril Hahn and more, plus recently performed at the annual Chanel Dinner Party at Cannes Film Festival 2021. Previously he’s also worked with Khalid (as a co-writer and producer on the hit track ‘Up All Night’), Whethan, Petit Biscuit, Dirty Projectors, Bryson Tiller, Machinedrum and Laurel.

“Void” EP is out 3rd December on Counter Records, with new single ‘Blood’ out now.
